National Demo: United for Education

Only two weeks until the demo!

With only a couple of weeks until students from up and down the country congregate to take part in the national demo, we would like to ask you (Edge Hill Students) to join us.

In order to attend the demo, we have joined up with other Students’ Unions in the area to provide travel to the event.

The march will take place in London on Saturday 19th November and will assemble at Malet Street at around 12noon and march round Russell Square, down Kingsway to the Strand, and then to Trafalgar Square, Whitehall ending at Parliament by 4pm.

The demo has been organised by:
The National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts
The Student Assembly Against Austerity
The Young Greens

and is supported by the National Union of Students (NUS)

The demonstration will take place under the banner of ‘Free Education: No Fees. No Cuts. No Debt’

So if you are passionate about Free Education then join us on the demo and get the student voice heard!

The coach will be leaving Edge Hill promptly at 6am on Saturday 19th November.

To come aong we are asking for a small contribution of £10 per person (£5 contribution, £5 deposit refundable on the day)

To come along you will need to sign up at the SU Reception, deposit £10 at the SU Reception (upstairs and across the bridge in the HUB) then collect £5 back on the day of travel.
