Be Green

Inspired by the activism of Greta Thunberg? Want to make campus greener?

Our Be Green campaign is all about raising awareness for Green initiatives on campus, and showing Edge Hill how it can move towards a more sustainable way of living.

We’ve got loads of events, activities, and green campus initiatives to help you learn more about living in an environmentally friendly way, and we’ll be working with various university departments and third party organisations to make that objective a reality!

Did you know…

In 2018, NUS ran an international student survey on the subject of sustainability finding that:

  • 91% of students questioned agree their place of study should actively incorporate and promote sustainable development.
  • 70% of students would like to see sustainable development incorporated and promoted through all courses.
  • 81% say sustainable development is something they would like to learn more about.
  • 93% say governments from across the world should do whatever it takes to address climate change.
