You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and confident in taking ownership of day-to-day operational responsibilities. You have strong communication and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining compliance, food safety and brand standards.
Role Description
Edge Hill Students’ Union operates a retail and catering offer, including a Subway franchise, clothing store, online shop, pop-up stalls, and promotional activations across campus.
The Assistant Manager will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience across these operations, taking the lead on the day-to-day management of the Subway outlet while supporting the wider Retail Department. The role is responsible for ensuring Subway brand standards, food safety compliance, operational efficiency, and commercial performance are consistently achieved.
Alongside leading the Subway operation, the Assistant Manager will provide support across other retail activities, and contribute to the ongoing development of the Students’ Union’s commercial services.
Whilst the role includes responsibilities across the wider Retail Department, the majority of working time will be dedicated to the management, operation, and development of the Subway outlet.
