Thursday 18 November – Friday 20 December marks UK Disability History Month, and this year the theme is Sex & Relationships and Hidden Disabilities.
As part of the month-long celebration, Edge Hill Students’ Union’s Disabled Students’ Officer, Kir Turner, is currently asking for student and staff participants for a panel-style event on the subject of hidden disabilities.
If you would like to be involved, whether speaking live or sending a pre-recorded message about your experiences, please email sucomms@edgehill.ac.uk.
Elsewhere in the Students’ Union, we will be continuing our consultation on blended learning and access to teaching following COVID-19. The idea for the consultation was brought to us by a number of students, including some students with disabilities, and we’ll be producing a report and recommendations based off the feedback over the course of term two.
Sign Language Society are also planning a flash mob performance taking place in early December on Edge Hill’s Ormskirk Campus.
