We could not be more excited to announce that, after over a year of COVID-19 closures, we will be re-opening SU Bar and Stone Willy’s Kitchen on Monday 20 September at 12pm.

 

SU Bar and Stone Willy’s Kitchen will initially be open on a reduced hours schedule between Monday 20 September and Thursday 23 September, 12pm-5pm. This is to trial our new systems and technology before fully opening our doors for Edge Hill Students’ Union Welcome Week on Saturday 25 September.

 

Edge Hill Students’ Union has been working incredibly hard to ensure that our SU Bar is ready, safe, and completely re-invented for the 2021-22 academic year. It’s important to us that students are passionate about their SU Bar, and that they feel comfortable using our space.

 

In addition to following the latest Government guidelines, we have re-decorated our SU Bar and Venue spaces, and have refitted the technology on offer inside, including new television screens and signal boosters to provide better phone service inside. This is in addition to a brand new drinks offering, including cocktails, mocktails, and new beer lines.

 

We are also incredibly excited to announce that students will be able to order at the bar or from their table using our QR Code table service option. Students will also be able to order Stone Willy’s Kitchen from their table as a click and collect service, which they can then take back to the SU Bar to enjoy with their drinks.

 

Of SU Bar’s and Stone Willy’s Kitchen’s reopening, Faculty of Arts and Sciences officer, Rhiannon Muise, said, ‘I am so excited for the SU Bar to reopen, I made so many amazing memories there when I first arrived at university. Especially after a year of COVID I can’t wait to see students enjoying themselves again because they deserve it!’

 

In addition to SU Bar and Stone Willy’s Kitchen, the Students’ Union team eagerly anticipate Edge Hill’s Welcome Week, which is set to take place between Saturday 25 September and Sunday 03 October.

 

Welcome Week Wristbands quickly sold out due to unprecedented demand and tickets for individual events are also selling fast showing the popularity of the Students’ Union’s social spaces, and their vital role in creating a thriving Edge Hill student community.

 

VENUE will join SU Bar and Stone Willy’s Kitchen in re-opening for Welcome Week, with big plans to use the space both for evening events and during daytime hours during the 21-22 academic year.

 

Stone Willy's Kitchen campus delivery will not be available during the trial period (20-23 September) but will be available during term time.
